Carr's four goals not enough as Sage falls at Ramapo

Mahwah, NJ---The Sage Colleges women's lacrosse team travelled to Ramapo College on Tuesday afternoon for a non-conference contest with the Roadrunners. Ramapo posted the 17-9 win to improve to 2-1 overall and the Gators drop to 1-4.

Sage jumped out to a 6-5 lead in the first half before Ramapo went on a run to take a 10-7 lead at the break. Sage's sophomore midfielder Kimberlee Carr (Colonie, NY/Colonie Central) connected for four goals in the contest. She now leads the Gators with her 16 goals and 16 points. Rookie Monica Koralus (Verbank, NY/Milbrook) and sophomore co-captain Mallory Hansen (Johnstown, NY/Johnstown) each connected for two goals as well for the Gators.  Koralus now has seven points on six goals and an assist, while Hansen has seven points on four goals and three assists.

For the Gators, rookie goalie Jackie St. Pierre (Averill Park, NY/Averill Park) took the loss after making a personal-best 18 saves on 35 shots faced with 17 goals allowed.

Sage returns to action on March 29 travelling to SUNY-Old Westbury for a 1 p.m. Skyline Conference game.
