Trinidad's OT goal lifts Sage past Cobleskill, 2-1

The Sage Colleges' men's soccer team collected a 2-1 double overtime win over the host Fighting Tigers of SUNY-Cobleskill on Wednesday afternoon. With the win, Sage improves to 10-3-2.

Sage's junior defender Tyler Denton (Sauquoit, NY/Sauquoit Valley) scored the first goals of the afternoon to put the Gators on the scoreboard first at 33:55. Cobleskill tied the action minutes later.

Sage's junior midfielder Gustavo Trinidad (Mamaroneck, NY/Mamaroneck) tallied his team-leading ninth goal the year to lift the Gators to the win at the 101.42 mark.

In goal for the Gators, sophomore TJ Zehner (Beacon, NY/Beacon) made the start and played the first half before senor keeper Tim Madden (Watertown, NY/Watertown) entered at the half. Both made three saves in their time in the net.

Sage returns to action on October 26 travelling to Farmingdale State for a 1 p.m. Skyline Conference contest as the Gators look to sew up the 2013 Skyline race with an unblemished campaign.
