Gators Take Second at Their Fall Invitational

VOORHEESVILLE, N.Y. – Russell Sage College had four golfers finish in the top ten at its Fall Invitational, held at Colonie Golf and Country Club on Wednesday morning.

Senior Austin Carpenter (Peru, NY/Peru) and junior Elijah Waterhouse (Lake Luzerne, NY/Lake Luzerne) fired an 80 (+8) to tie for third.

Freshman Ryan Arp (Greenville, NY/Greenville CAD) and junior Shane Kammerman (Cortlandt Manor, NY/Walter Panas) were right behind with an 81 and an 83 respectively, good for eighth and tied for tenth.

Rounding out the RSC golfers were Dylan Dzoik (Hopedale, MA/Hopedale) (T-16th, 93), sophomore Sam Shaw (Cicero, NY/Cicero North Syracuse) (17th, 95) and junior Alex Burns (Selden, NY/Newfield) (23rd - 102).

The efforts helped the Gators take second out of four teams with a score of 324 (+36).

Elmira, which had the medalist, Jack Finnerty, a grad student who shot a 76 (+4), won the event with a 319 (+31).
