Gators drop dual match to MSMC Knights

Green Island, NY – The Sage Colleges' men's golf team hosted the Knights of Mt. St. Mary College in a dual match at Van Schaick Country Club. MSMC posted a 324 to beat Sage as the Gators shot a 383.

MSMC's top finisher was Alex Harcher as he posted a 77 for the day, while Dylan Legg shot a 78. Owen Heath added an 80 and John Celeberti, who carded an 89. Rich Cooper also competed and shot a 122.

Sage's senior DJ Ioele (Johnstown, NY/Johnstown) carded an 80 for the round, while sophomore Henry Taylor (Delmar, NY/Bethlehem) had a 95. Sophomore Sam Moquin (Watervliet, NY/Watervliet) posted a 102, while rookie Dylan Dotterer (Craryville, NY/Taconic Hills) had a 106 in the completion. Senior Jacob Sopchak (Rhinebeck, NY/Rhinebeck) carded a 109 for the Gators.

Sage returns back to action for the final event of the 2014-2015 season when they compete at the Elms College Spring Invitational. The event starts at 10 a.m. and takes place at the Westover Country Club (Granby, MA).
