Saratoga Springs, NY--The Sage Colleges' women's volleyball team competed on Saturday on the final day of the Skidmore College Classic. Sage faced Ramapo College in the first match and dropped a 3-0 decision (25-20, 25-20, 25-16) and then fell to Middlebury, 3-1 (22-25, 25-8, 25-14, 25-15) in the final match of the weekend. Sage stands at 9-7 on the year.

Against Ramapo, Sage's junior outside hitter Sara Campolieta (Fulton, NY/G. Ray Bodley) added seven kills with 16 digs.  Junior setter Rachel Liebig (Hartford, NY/Hartford) had 20 setting assists, while adding five digs. Sophomore Alyssa Nellis (Johnstown, NY/Johnstown) connected for six kills.

Senior middle hitter Mickey Mango (Saratoga Springs, NY/Saratoga Springs) tallied three kills with four total blocks, while senior right side Morgan Robinson (Ballston Lake, NY/Shenendehowa) added three kills.

Sophomore defensive specialist Missy Schneiderman (Middletown, NY/Minisink Valley) had 10 digs for the Gators, while junior outside hitter Michayla Berard (Binghamton, NY/Susquehanna Valley) connected for six kills.

In the match-up with Middlebury, the Gators took the first set 25-22, but were unable to parlay the first set success into a win and fell to the Panthers, 3-1. Liebig had five digs with 25 setting assists in the match.

Scheiderman had 10 digs, while junior outside hitter Sara Campolieta (Fulton, NY/G. Ray Bodley) also added 10 digs for the Gators. Junior Katy Rimawi (Ballston Spa, NY/Ballston Spa) racked up 11 digs. Mango and Robinson each finished with seven kills, while Campolieta added six kills and Berard tallied three kills in the match.

The Gators' 2015 lineup continues to climb the program's career record book as three current team members now rank in the Top 15 in kills as Mango is now 10^th with 609, Berard is 12^th with 517 and Robinson is 13^th with 511.

Mango now is No. 4 in career blocks with 235, Liebig has 1,877 career setting assists and is ranked No. 4 and closing on her 2,000^th career setting assist, which would make her one of just four Sage players with 2,000 or more career setting assists.

Sage is back in action on September 30 as they travel to Castleton University for a 7 p.m. non-conference road match.
