Gators open season at SUNY-Old Westbury Invitational

Middle Island, NY – The Sage Colleges' men's golf team competed on Friday afternoon at the SUNY-Old Westbury Invitational, held at Spring Lake Golf Club. The course was a 6,445 yard par 72 course and the defending Skyline Conference champions, Farmingdale State won the team title after posting a round of 306 for the day. Sage finished in seventh place with a 376 for the round.

Sage's senior DJ Ioele (Johnstown, NY/Johnstown) carded a round of 82 to finish tied for 17the place.  Sophomore Henry Taylor (Delmar, NY/Bethlehem) shot a 90 on the day and finished tied for 26th place.

Junior Sam Moquin (Watervliet, NY/Watervliet) posted a 100 and took 34th place, while sophomore Casey Fitzpatric (Haverhill MA/Haverhill) posted a 104 and took 35th place. Sophomore Dylan Dotterer (Crayville, NY/Taconic Hills) took 36th with a 107 for the day.

The Gators return to action on September 18 when they will compete at the Farmingdale State Invitational.
