ALBANY, N.Y. – Russell Sage College had three cross country runners: senior Mackenzie Feeney (Saugerties, NY/Saugerties), junior Elizabeth Ingellis (Kingston, NY/Kingston), and sophomore Chris Pellegrini (Loudonville, NY/Colonie Central) receive All-Empire 8 Conference honors.
With her sixth-place finish at last month's Championship Meet, Ingellis secured first-team All-Empire 8 Conference accolades. The program's 6k record holder, who was the top RSC finisher at all seven meets, was selected the E8 Runner of the Week twice this fall (9/5, 9/18). She has garnered All-Conference status in all three of her campaigns.
Feeney finished 14th at the E8 Championship to earn second-team All-Conference honors. She was an All-E8 performer in all four of her cross country seasons.
One member of each team was named that institution's representative on the 2023 E8 Cross Country Sportsmen and Sportswomen of the Year Team. The Empire 8 Conference emphasizes that "Competing with Honor and Integrity" is an essential component of a student-athlete's experience in conjunction with an institution's educational mission. These honorees have distinguished themselves and consistently exhibit the critical traits as outstanding sportsmen. Pellegrini and Feeney represented the Gators on the squad.
