Ingellis leads RSC to opening week win at Panther Invitational

Altamont, N.Y. –  Russell Sage College's women's and cross country runners opened the new season on Saturday in action at Indian Ladder Farm, running in the Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences Panther Invitational.

RSC's junior Elizabeth Ingellis (Kingston, NY/Kingston) was the medalist taking home first place for the 5k distance in 20:36.4 and helped to lead RSC to the team title as well.

The Gators posted a score of 25 points and bettered Word of Life (50 points), The College of Saint Rose (60 points), and MCLA (77 points).

Senior Mackenzie Feeney (Saugerties, NY/Saugerties) posted a time of 21:12.3 and took home second place, while junior Charimssa Losee (Troy, NY/Lansingburgh) was sixth in 24:05.1. Sophomore Crystal Ivery (Cairo, NY/Cairo-Durham) had a time of 25:42.1 and was next in seventh place for the Gators. Sophomore Hannah Mason (Johnstown, NY/Johnstown) rounded out the runners with a time of 25:48.8 and was ninth at the race.

Next up for the Gators they will compete on September 16 at RPI's Fall Classic in Saratoga Springs, NY.
