Two Records Fall at Middlebury Winter Classic

MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – Russell Sage College junior David Adadjo (Nassau, NY/Columbia) lowered his 60m dash record at Saturday's Middlebury Winter Classic. He clocked in at 7.31 to better his program standard by .02.  Adadjo finished fifth out of 25 competitors in the 400m dash with a time of 52.30.

The junior, along with freshman Kyle Coyne (Castleton, NY/Maple Hill), sophomore Dominic Harkness (Morrisonville, NY/Saranac), and freshman Jevaun Angell (Hudson, NY/Hudson), helped set the program's 4x200m relay record with a time of 1:43.98.

A trio of Gators: junior Jacob Haynes (Cambridge, NY/Cambridge Central), junior Isaac Langer (Hudson, NY/Taconic Hills), and sophomore Chris Pellegrini (Loudonville, NY/Colonie Central) registered top-12 finishes in the 600m run. Pellegrini was tenth with a time of 1:36.73, Haynes took 11th with a 1:45.01 clocking, and Langer crossed the line 12th at 1:51.99.

On the women's side, sophomore Charisma Losee (Troy, NY/Lansingburgh) had the team's highest placing at the meet, taking eighth in the 600m run with a time of 2:03.21.  She helped the RSC 4,000 DMR cross the line in 14:13.38, good for eighth.  The other members of the DMR were: senior Mackenzie Feeney (Saugerties, NY/Saugerties), junior Elizabeth Ingellis (Kingston, NY/Kingston), and sophomore Tirzah Spivey (Clifton Park, NY/Schenectady).

Looking ahead, the Gators head to Utica on Saturday for the Blue and Orange Invitational and Multi.


Gator Bites: RSC had a seven week layoff in between meets...The Gators began their indoor season by setting three program records at the Springfield College Season Opener on December 2...RSC competes at Utica back-to-back weeks, Jan. 27 and Feb. 3, building toward the Empire 8 Conference Championships, to be held Feb. 23-24 at Houghton University.
