Selisgrove, PA--Russell Sage College men's and women's outdoor track and field teams opened action at the 2023 All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Championships, and will wrap up on Thursday at Susquehanna University (Selinsgrove, PA).
Sophomore Kaiden Simpson (Bennington, VT/Mt. Anthony Union) had a throw of 44.79 meters to finish in 20th place in the javelin throw.
Sophomore Elizabeth Ingellis (Kingston, NY/Kingston) was in action on Wednesday evening in the 10,000 meter run. She broke her own personal-best time race as she took 12th in a time 38:54.92.
Junior Mackenzie Feeney (Saugerties, NY/Saugerties) will compete in the 1,500 meter run on May 18. She posted a school record time as she picked up third in the 1,500 meter run in 4:59.35 while running at the 2023 Empire 8 Championship. Feeney also holds RSC school records in the 800 meter run (2:25.52) and a member of the 4 x 400 relay team that posted a time of 4:32.75 at the 2023 E8 championships.
Senior John Coddington (Amsterdam, NY/Broadalbin-Perth) will compete in the hammer toss and the shotput events on May 18. He holds the school record in the hammer toss with his mark of 52.49 meters and this past week finished as the runner-up at the 2023 Empire 8 Championships with his qualifying throw of 15.26 meters, another school record.
