NEWBURGH, N.Y. – Russell Sage College defeated host Mount Saint Mary College 7-2 this afternoon.

A quartet of Gators: Claire Connelly (Little Falls, NY/Little Falls), a graduate student, junior Gwendolyn Eichen (Moriah Center, NY/Moriah Central), junior Emma Nuzzi (Glenville, NY/Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake), and junior Emma Vander Baan (Barre, MA/Quabbin Regional), were victorious in both singles and doubles.

Freshman Amber Elk (Albany, NY/Colonie) earned the extra point against MSMC (0-3) with a win in No. 6 singles action.

The Gators (2-3) begin Empire 8 conference play tomorrow vs. Houghton. Opening serve is slated for 1:00 pm.
