Houghton, NY—Russell Sage College's women's tennis team played a pair of Empire 8 matches on Saturday at Houghton College. In the first match of the day, St. John Fisher College beat the Gators, 9-0. In the final match, the host Houghton added a 6-3 victory over RSC. RSC is now 2-3 on the season overall and in Empire 8 play.
Against Houghton, Sage's junior Praescilla Daquin (Kirkwood, NY/Windsor) collected an 8-0 win at No. 5 singles. Junior Kyerra Stanley (Theresa, NY/Indian River) recorded the win at No. 6 singles.
Sage is back in action on March 27 for a single Empire 8 match at Utica College at noon.
