  • RSC places 60 on Empire 8 Presidents' List; 8 Gator Teams earn All-Academic Team Citations

    Hilton, NY--58 Russell Sage College student-athletes were honored with the release of the Spring of 2022 Empire 8 Presidents' List. Additionally, eight Gator varsity programs were named to the Empire 8 All-Academic list for their combined efforts in the classroom.

    Albany, NY—Russell Sage College’s department of athletics announced their award winners for the 2021-2022 academic year at the annual awards banquet.  In addition to several honors bestowed for athletic and academic excellence, Sage also selected the Gator of the Year Award for the department’s 21 varsity sports for the 2021-2022 year. The Dean Sharon Robinson Senior Scholar-Athlete Award recognizes our exceptional senior male and female scholar-athletes for their accomplishments in the classroom and their distinguished efforts as a Sage Scholar-Athlete.  This award is given in recognition of Dean Robinson’s service and passion for excellence in higher education and love of intercollegiate athletics. 
  • Mickaela Buzzy Named 2021-2022 Recipient of the Aggie Stillman Perseverance Award

    RSC’s women’s soccer goalie Mickaela Buzzy was honored as the 2021-2022 Aggie Stillman Perseverance Award recipient. She was also named to the Sage Athletic Honor Society for the second straight year.

    Utica, NY — Russell Sage College women’s soccer squad traveled to Utica College on Saturday afternoon for an Empire 8 match-up. A rematch of the 2021 Empire 8 Spring Women’s Soccer Championship match, the Gators once again took the day as they beat Utica, 2-1. The victory puts RSC at 6-8-2 overall and 2-4-1 in the Empire 8.

RSC’s sophomore forward Marissa Key broke a 0-0 tie with the lone goal of the night at the 49:14 mark. With the win, RSC is now 2-1-1 on the year. MCLA falls to 0-3.
