ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. – Visiting Russell Sage College held off Bard 14-12 on Thursday night to equal the program record for wins in a season. The 2017 squad also won seven games and qualified for the Skyline Conference Championship Tournament.

Junior midfielder Maddison Walter (South Glens Falls, NY/South Glens Falls) topped the Gators (7-7) with seven points on three goals and four assists.

Senior attacker Grace Hines (Guilderland, NY/Guilderland), the Empire 8 Conference leader in points, goals, points per-game, and goals per-game, scored six goals, while senior attacker Alexandra Queeney (Johnstown, NY/Johnstown) contributed three goals, an assist, seven draw controls, and four groundballs.

RSC, which out-shot the host Raptors 47-23 and led 10-6 at the break, entered the fourth quarter up 12-7. Bard (2-15) made things interesting, netting five goals in an 8:35 span to get within one, 13-12, with 5:17 remaining. Freshman defender Alexis Crossman (Corinth, NY/Corinth) broke the Bard run 41 seconds later to put the Gators back up two for the final margin.

Freshman attacker Gwendolyn Jamison (Averill Park, NY) was one of three Raptors to score three goals in the home setback.
