Gators Compete at NCAA Mideast Regional Championships

WESTFIELD, MASS. – Russell Sage College had two runners finish in the top 100 at today's NCAA Mideast Regional Championships, hosted by Westfield State at Stanley Park.

Junior Elizabeth Ingellis (Kingston, NY/Kingston), a first-team All-Empire 8 Conference honoree, led the Gators with a 6k time of 22:52.50. The clocking was good for 59th out of 176 entries.

Senior Mackenzie Feeney (Saugerties, NY/Saugerties), a four-time All-E8 pick, was 84th with a time of 23:34.20.

Rounding out the Gators contingent were: sophomore Charisma Losee (Troy, NY/Lansingburgh) (151st - 27:44.40), sophomore Hannah Maxson (Johnstown, NY/Johnstown) (158th - 28:55.80), sophomore Crystal Ivery (Cairo, NY/Cairo-Durham) (163rd - 29:35.90), and Senior Skylar Grybos (Amsterdam, NY/Amsterdam) (165th - 29:49.50).

As a team, the Gators finished 20th out of 24 competing institutions.

In the men's 8k, sophomore Chris Pellegrini (Loudonville, NY/Colonie Central) was the top RSC finisher with a time of 31:54.40, good for 154th out of 174 runners.

Sophomore Robert Cusato (Schenectady, NY/Guilderland) completed the course in 32:43.80 to finish 160th.

Junior Isaac Langer (Hudson, NY/Taconic Hills) and junior Jacob Haynes (Cambridge, NY/Cambridge Central) crossed the line shortly thereafter, coming in 164th and 165th with times of 35:16.00 and 35:24.20 respectively.

The Gators now head indoors for track season. The opener is set for Saturday, December 2 at Springfield College.


Gator Bites: Junior Elizabeth Ingellis (Kingston, NY/Kingston) earned first-team All-Empire 8 Conference honors with her sixth-place finish at last month's Championship Meet…The program's 6k record holder was selected the E8 Runner of the Week twice this fall (9/5, 9/18)…She has garnered All-Conference status in all three of her campaigns…Senior Mackenzie Feeney (Saugerties, NY/Saugerties) finished 14th at the E8 Championship to earn second-team All-Conference honors…She was an All-E8 performer in all four of her cross country seasons.
