Gators Preview NCAA MidEast Regional Course at Westfield State

WESTFIELD, Mass. – Russell Sage College was back in action at this morning's annual James Earley Invitational, hosted by Westfield State. Being that Stanley Park is the site of next month's NCAA MidEast Regional, 37 men's teams and 32 women's squads competed across four races on a rainy Saturday to get a preview of the course.

Junior Elizabeth Ingellis (Kingston, NY/Kingston) finished 11th out of 184 competitors in the women's 6k with a time of 23:19.04.

Senior Mackenzie Feeney (Saugerties, NY/Saugerties) was the next Gator to cross the line, coming in 56th at 25:13.91.

Rounding out the RSC runners were: sophomore Charisma Losee (Troy, NY/Lansingburgh) (27:20.49, 111th), sophomore Hannah Maxson (Johnstown, NY/Johnstown) (29:30.31, 138th), senior Skylar Grybos (Amsterdam, NY/Amsterdam) (29:47.63, 142nd), sophomore Crystal Ivery (Cairo, NY/Cairo-Durham) (30:23.12, 146th), and junior Merideth Diegel (Albany, NY/Colonie) (42:14.30, 180th)

The efforts helped the Gators finish 13th out of 25 competing institutions.

Junior Isaac Langer (Hudson, NY/Taconic Hills) and sophomore Christopher Pellegrini (Loudonville, NY/Colonie Central) competed in the men's 8k. Pellegrini crossed the line 167th with a time of 32:10.30, while Langer completed the course in 38:09.12, good for 192nd.

The Gators compete next at Hamilton on Saturday, October 21.


Notes: Junior Elizabeth Ingellis (Kingston, NY/Kingston) was selected the Empire 8 Conference Runner of the Week twice this fall (9/5, 9/18)…She earned All-Conference honors in each of her previous two campaigns.
