ALBANY, N.Y. – Russell Sage College freshman Dylan Fox (Albany, NY/Colonie) was announced as the New England Volleyball Conference Rookie of the Week for the period ending Sunday, March 31.
The outside hitter, who has now earned the award on four occasions this spring, registered 20 kills, 3.33 per-set, on .244 hitting, and 16 digs across two matches last week. He posted a double-double of 14 kills and 10 digs in Friday's sweep at Vermont State: Johnson.
RSC (7-19/1-4 NEVC), which locked up a spot in the NEVC Tournament with Friday's victory at Vermont State: Johnson, concludes its regular season at Saturday's SUNY New Paltz tri-match.
Gator Bites: 2024 marked the Gators first as members of the New England Volleyball Conference…League coaches picked RSC, under the direction of Reid Hartl, to finish sixth in the NEVC…The roster, which has six returnees from last season, boasts plenty of local flavor with eight student-athletes hailing from Section 2…Hartl, now in his third season, added seven newcomers to the roster, including four freshmen…Four grad students are the roster, including co-captains: libero Deshawn Fleary, (Newark, NJ/Immaculate Conception Montclair), and outside hitter Jarod Martel (Albany, NY/Colonie Central)…Freshman outside hitter Dylan Fox (Albany, NY/Colonie) was selected the NEVC Rookie of the Week four times this spring…He earned the accolade for the periods ending January 21, February 11, March 24, and March 31.
