Gators Drop Second Leg of Spring Trip Back-to-Back

ASHLAND, Va. – Russell Sage College dropped the second leg of its spring break trip back-to-back on Tuesday night at Randolph-Macon 3-0 (25-16, 25-14, 25-16).

Senior opposite Wylkins Occelin (Brooklyn, NY/John Dewey) led the Gators with seven kills and eight digs in defeat.

RMC (8-7) received four kills or more from five different players to secure the sweep.

The Gators (5-13) continue a stretch of six-straight matches away from the Kahl Campus Center on Saturday at SUNY Poly.


Gator Bites: 2024 marks the first for RSC as members of the New England Volleyball Conference…League coaches picked RSC, under the direction of Reid Hartl, to finish sixth in the NEVC…The roster, which has six returnees from last season, boasts plenty of local flavor with eight student-athletes hailing from Section 2…Hartl, now in his third season, added seven newcomers to the roster, including four freshmen…Four grad students are the roster, including co-captains: libero Deshawn Fleary, (Newark, NJ/Immaculate Conception Montclair), and outside hitter Jarod Martel (Albany, NY/Colonie Central)…Freshman outside hitter Dylan Fox (Albany, NY/Colonie) was selected the NEVC Rookie of the Week twice this spring…He earned the accolade for the periods ending January 21 and February 11.
