Double-Doubles from Krowicki and Hilland pace Gators in win over SUNY-IT

Marcy, NY– The Sage Colleges' men's volleyball team returned to action on Wednesday evening travelling to SUNY-IT for a non-conference match. The Gators posted the 3-1 win (25-22, 21-25, 25-20, 25-19) to collect the team's 19th win of the season. Sage now stands at 19-5 on the year, while SUNY-IT drops to 8-17 on the season.

Leading the way for the Gators was senior middle hitter Spencer Hilland (Slingerlands, NY/Bethlehem Central) as he had a double-double on 15 kills and 17 digs. He added three block assists for the Gators as they combined for a .225 hitting percentage in the match.

Junior outside Dylan Krowick (Little Falls, NY/Little Falls) also had a double-double for Sage as he connected for 15 kills as well with 13 digs and five total blocks in the match.

Senior setter Kyle Ray (Horseheads, NY/Horseheads) added 44 setting assists with four digs, while junior middle hitter Connor Thompson (Delmar, NY/Christian Brothers Academy) had 12 kills. Senior middle hitter Ryan Kramer (Delmar, NY/Bethlehem Central) added seven kills, while junior outside hitter Zachary Kuhn (Rensselaer, NY/Columbia) added six digs for the Gators.

The Gators will be in action again on March 29 and March 30 at the Springfield College Invitational. Sage faced No. 2 ranked Springfield College on March 29 at 5 p.m. and Southern Vermont College also on March 29 at 7 p.m. Action wraps on Saturday with Sage facing Lesley University and Rutgers University-Newark in matches at 10 a.m. and noon, respectively.
