TROY, N.Y. – Russell Sage College competed under the Friday night lights at RPI and tallied five top-ten finishes.
Sophomore Tirzah Spivey (Clifton Park, NY/Schenectady) hurdled her way to a pair of top-six performances. She was fifth in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:15.91 and completed the 100m hurdles in 18.16, good for sixth.
Freshman Kyle Coyne (Castleton, NY/Maple Hill) also scored points in the 110m hurdles, crossing the line fifth with a time of 17.30,
Juniors Kaiden Simpson (Bennington, VT/Mount Anthony Union) and Isaac Langer (Hudson, NY/Taconic Hills) had top-15 finishes in the javelin. Simpson was fifth with a 38.98m toss, while Langer took 15th with a mark of 28.10m.
Freshman Ethan Turner (Bridgeton, NJ/Cumberland Regional) completed 800m in 2:04.79 to place tenth.
The Gators are back on the track Friday at the UAlbany Spring Classic.
Gator Bites: After setting 13 indoor program records, the Gators established three school outdoor records on Saturday, March 30 at Hamilton…Junior Elizabeth Ingellis (Kingston, NY/Kingston) was tabbed the Empire 8 Conference Women’s Track Athlete of the Week for the period ending Sunday, April 8…She won the 10,000m run at Utica with a time of 39:04.82…The clocking qualified the junior for the Regional Championships.
