ALBANY, N.Y. – Russell Sage College forward River Seybolt '19 (Selden, N.Y.) was selected for the Empire 8 Conference 25th Anniversary Men's Soccer Team.
The E8, celebrating the league's 25th Anniversary season in 2023-24, is honoring student-athletes, teams, coaches and administrators who have played a key role in the league's success over the last 25 years. Men's Soccer is no exception, as several individuals and teams have excelled at the conference, national and regional levels.
Seybolt, the 2017 E8 Player of the Year, helped the Gators make a successful transition to the E8 from the Skyline Conference that fall. He registered 35 points on 16 goals and three assists as RSC reached the finals of the E8 Conference Championship Tournament. Seybolt was voted first-team All-Conference during each of his two seasons playing the E8.
The forward holds the program's career scoring record with 102 points on 45 goals and 12 assists. Seybolt, who tallied an RSC-record 16 game-winning goals between 2015-2018, leads the all-time scoring list by 30 points.
