ALBANY, N.Y. – Russell Sage College is represented by three players: senior forward El Hadji Iba Sy (Bronx, NY/Emma Lazarus), forward/midfielder John Locicero (Wallkill, NY/Wallkill), a graduate student, and junior forward David Adadjo (Nassau, NY/Columbia) on the All-Empire 8 Conference Men's Soccer Teams. Honorees, as voted upon by the head coaches, were announced by the Conference office earlier this morning.
Locicero and Iba Sy both earned third-team accolades. Locicero topped the Gators (4-8-4/1-5-2 E8) in scoring with 12 points on five goals and two assists. Iba Sy added four points on two goals to make the third-team for the second-straight autumn.
One member of each team was named that institution's representative on the 2023 E8 Men's Soccer Sportsman of the Year Team. The Empire 8 Conference emphasizes that "Competing with Honor and Integrity" is an essential component of a student-athlete's experience in conjunction with an institution's educational mission. These honorees have distinguished themselves and consistently exhibit the critical traits as outstanding sportsmen. Adadjo represented the Gators on the squad.
