ALBANY, N.Y. – Russell Sage College returned to the win column by defeating visiting MCLA 76-56 tonight inside the Kahl Campus Center.
A trio of Gators (5-1) scored in double figures in the non-conference victory.
Senior guard/forward Jackson Brown (Latham, NY/Catholic Central/Fredonia State) led the way with 22 points on 7-of-16 shooting and six rebounds.
Junior guard Noah Girard (Glens Falls, NY/Glens Falls) contributed 19 points, six rebounds, four assists and three steals, while freshman guard Deavion Springsteen (Albany, NY/Albany) added 10 points.
Sophomore forward Jaxen Potter (Ballston Spa, NY/Ballston Spa) paced MCLA (3-4) with a double-double of 10 points on 4-of-8 shooting and 12 rebounds.
RSC, which limited the visitors to 28.8 percent shooting and held a 54-38 rebounding margin, opens Empire 8 Conference play on Friday at 7:30 pm vs. Nazareth
