Girard's Career-High 31 Points Helps Gators Improve to 4-0

UTICA, N.Y. – Russell Sage College went on the road for the first time this season and picked up an 85-76 non-conference victory this afternoon at SUNY Poly.

Junior guard Noah Girard (Glens Falls, NY/Glens Falls) scored a career-high 31 points on 10-of-16 shooting to help the Gators move to 4-0. He registered 21 of the points following the break as RSC came back from a double-digit second half deficit to win.

RSC, which shot 51.8 percent from the field, turned the tide with a 25-5 run spanning 7:32.  Following the outburst, the host Wildcats (2-2) were unable to get closer than six.

Junior forward Todd Williamson (Schenectady, NY/Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons) and freshman guard Deavion Springsteen (Albany, NY/Albany) each added 15 points. Williamson, who went 6-of-8 from the field, grabbed six rebounds.

Sophomore forward Anthony Rose and junior guard Cheickne Toure each tallied 20 points to top SUNY Poly. 

RSC plays next on Tuesday evening at Mount Saint Mary's College. Start time is slated for 6:00 pm.
