Albany, NY — Russell Sage College's men's basketball team selected their team captains for the 2021 season. Head coach Brian Barnes announced that juniors Jason Geronimo (Orlando, FL/Colonial) and Stuart Phair (Canberra, Australia) will serve as the program's captains. The pair addressed the team and coaches on last Friday evening to discuss their excitement and willingness to serve others.
Head Coach Barnes noted, "Stuart and Jason are in their third year in our program." He added, "Both young men have embodied our program's five core values and our coaching staff is excited to begin work with them to build on their already strong foundation of leadership. They have been great ambassadors of our program and have represented themselves with the highest degree of responsible behavior for two and a half years. They have proudly also served as men's basketball representatives on Student Athlete Advisory Committee and Jason maintains a leadership position as a Resident Assistant
The Gators are back in action on Thursday, March 25 hosting Utica College in a 6 p.m. Empire 8 contest.
