Gators Cap Non-Conference Slate at Skidmore

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – Russell Sage College capped its non-conference schedule with this afternoon's 7-0 loss at Skidmore.

Sophomore goalkeeper Jaia Caron (Bellows Falls, VT/Bellows Falls Union) (Loss, 4-8) made nine saves, while junior defender Shauna Lanoue (Troy, NY/Columbia) and midfielder Amy Stevens (Castle Creek, NY/Whitney Point), a grad student, topped the Gators in shots on goal taken.

Sophomore forward Abby Ezickson paced Skidmore (7-7) with two goals.

RSC (4-8) is back in action on Saturday at 1:00 pm vs. Elmira. The Empire 8 Conference matinee, to be played at RPI, will serve as the program's "Senior Day".


Notes: Forward Sara O'Connor (Rexford, NY/Niskayuna), a grad student, is the program record holder for career points with 78 on 32 goals and 14 assists...She holds program records for most points in a season with 42 in 2019…O'Connor scored four goals in the 12-0 win at Wells on September 28, the most by a Gator in a single game.…Between her, forward Alyssa Fitzgerald (Queensbury, NY/Queensbury), a grad student, and midfielder Amy Stevens (Castle Creek, NY/Whitney Point), a grad student, the trio are three of the program's top-five career scoring leaders…Caron was selected the Empire 8 Conference Defensive Player of the Week for the period ending Sunday, October 8…She began the week with three shutouts, a program single-season record, and seven double-digit save performances.
