WEST HARTFORD, CONN. – Russell Sage College received contributions throughout the lineup to defeat University of Saint Joseph 7-1 this evening.

RSC had five players find the back of the cage in the non-conference road victory.

Midfielder Amy Stevens (Castle Creek, NY/Whitney Point), a grad student, led the group with three goals, while freshman midfielder Cheyanne Zobel (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa) and midfielder Alexa Wentz (Whitney Point, NY/ Whitney Point), a grad student, registered a goal and an assist each.

Sophomore goalkeeper Jaia Caron (Bellows Falls, VT/Bellows Falls Union) stopped 11 USJ (1-5) shots to secure the win (2-3).

Sophomore forward Aurelia Barker opened the scoring 13:32 in for the host Blue Jays. RSC took control from there, recording 19 shots and earning 12 penalty corners across the final 45 minutes.

The Gators (2-3) open Empire 8 Conference play on Saturday at Saint John Fisher.
