RUSSELL SAGE COLLEGE WOMEN'S AND MEN'S OUTDOOR TRACK TEAMS COMPETE AT ACP PANTHER INVITATIONAL
Albany, NY — Russell Sage College men's and women's outdoor and field programs competed on Sunday at the ACP Panther Invitational.
Women's Highlights
Sophomore Alyssa Fitzgerald (Queensbury, NY/Queensbury) was second in both the 100 meter dash and the 200 meter run as she posted times of 13.99 and 28.8, respectively.
Senior Sophia Keravich (Barrington, NH/Oyster River) took home second in the 800 meter run in 2:58.69, while junior Giannah French (Cherry Plain, NY/Berlin) was fourth in the race in 3:29.35.
Freshman Giuliana Capparello (Fonda, NY/Fonda-Fultonville) was second in the 100 meter hurdles in 18.46.
Rookie Sarah Masse (Albany, NY/Colonie Central) picked up a third place finish in the 400 meter run in 1:14.20, while Keravich was next in 1:16.91. French took home fifth in the race in 1:23.95. Masse also placed fifth in the 200 meter run in 30.93. Freshman Anna Breidenbach (Monson, MA/Monson) placed fifth in the 100 meter dash in 15.17.
Men's Highlights
Senior Arnold Burnett (Bronx, NY/John F. Kennedy) posted a time of 1:08.51 and finished in third place in the 400 meter hurdles. He was placed seventh in the 200 meter run in 25.10, while rookie Christian Harvey-Maloney (Brooklyn, NY/Urban Assembly School for Green Careers) was 8th in 26.55.Rookie Tyler Case (Bronx, NY/Bronx School for Law, Government, and Justice) was ninth in 28.18.
In the 100 meter dash, Harvey-Maloney led the way taking sixth in 12.96, while Case was next in 13.16 to take seventh.
Senior Ellis Richardson (Hudson, NY/Hudson) led the team in the 800 meter run with his time of 2:07.97 to take second, while junior Brett LaBier (Albany, NY/Colonie) posted a time of 5:13.14 to finish in sixth place in the 1,500 meter run.
The Gators return to action on May 7-8 at the Empire 8 Outdoor Track and Field Championships hosted by St. John Fisher College.
