RUSSELL SAGE SENIOR WINS 2020 COLLEGIATE NATIONAL POWER LIFTING TITLE
Albany, NY — Russell Sage College senior Antonino Fazio (Albany, NY/Albany Academy) finished as the silver medalist at the 2020 United States Powerlifting Male College Powerlifting Championship on November 20. While competing at the championship in Pennsylvania, Fazio, tied for first place in the division. He finished with the Silver Medal on tie-breaker criterion. The RSC business major, bench pressed 453.0 pounds in the event.
Fazio, who works out at ABC Sports and Fitness in Latham, NY, finished second overall in the USA Powerlifting Collegiate Nationals overall. At age 21, Fazio, who weighs 182 pounds, 1,633 pounds lifted on the day. He lifted 540 pounds in the squat, 639 pounds in the deadlift and set a Junior American record with his performance of 453 pounds in the bench press.
