Newburgh, NY--Sage's women's team picked up a ninth place team finish in a competitive field of 19 teams. Sage scored 245 points compared to the Golden Eagles of Skyline Conference rival, St. Joseph's (Long Island) winning the team race with 33 points.

• Junior Hannah Tighe (East Greenwich, RI/East Greenwich) ran to a 32nd place finish in a field of 154 runners at the Mount Saint Mary Invitational in a time 23:00 on Saturday.

•Senior captain Amanda Millington (Chestertown, NY/North Warren) was next in 35th place in 23:12.

• Also scoring points for the Gators were rookie Hannah French (Berlin, NY/Berlin), junior Lauren Belfast (Ilion, NY/Ilion), and rookie Sagan Leggett (Valatie, NY/Ichabod Crane) in 65th, 69th and 73rd respectably.

• French posted a time of 24:17, while Belfast ran the course in 24:28 and Leggett was right behind her in 24:38.

• Taking home 77th place was rookie Aanisah Taylor (Great Barrington, MA/Monument Mountain Regional) in 25:38, while senior Megan Lugo (W. Nyack, NY/Clarkstown South) took 78th in 25:45.

• Junior Morgan Rush (Troy, NY/Averill Park) posted a time of 26:14, while junior Melissa Grimaldi (Nassau, NY/Columbia) picked up 106th in 26:39.

• Rounding out the Gators in the race were seniors Kayla Hartman (Sugar Land, TX/Stephen Austin), Leann Egan (Schenectady, NY/Mohonasen), and junior Michelle Tanner (Oriskany, NY/Oriskany Central).









 





 



 

Sage is set to travel to Green Mountain College Sat., Oct. 17. The women will begin at 11:00 a.m.
