Annandale-On-Hudson, NY---The Sage Colleges women's and cross country team was in action on Saturday afternoon at the Bard College Raptor Invitational. Sage's women's team finished in seventh place in a field of 16 complete teams.
Winning the women's race was Middlebury College with a score of 21 as they had the first five finishers in the race including Alison Maxwell as she won the 5 k course with her time of 18:17. Sage's women's team combined for a score of 207 as was paced by sophomore co-captain Alaina Krueger (Selkirk, NY/Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk) picked up 22nd place in 20:27.
After Krueger was Sage's sophomore Ashley Maresca (Brant Lake, NY/North Warren Central) in 20:36 to take home 25th place. Junior co-captain Caitlin Coughlin (Palenville, NY/Catskill) picked up 45th place with her time of 22:58.
Rookie Lauren Belfast (Ilion, NY/Ilion) picked up 56th place in 22:39, while sophomore Megan Lugo (West Nyack, NY/Clarkstown South) posted a time of 23:06 to take 59th place. Freshman Morgan Rush (Troy, NY/Averill Park) finished in 65th in 23:30, while freshman Ellyn Fisher (Queensbury, NY/Queensbury) took 66th in 23:33.
Sage returns to action on October 5 travelling to Mt. St. Mary College for the Knight Invitational.
