Giannah French

At Sage:

• A newcomer to Sage in the fall of 2018, Giannah French competed as a member of the cross country team and also ran as a member of the 2019 track and field team as a rookie. A consistent scorer for Sage as a rookie, posted her best time for a 6k course at the Rowan University Interregional Race with a time of 32:48.3. She also picked up a 44^th place finish at the Vassar Short Course race with a time of 17:04.4 taking 44^th for the 3 k event.

• As a rookie on Sage’s 2019 track squad, she had a personal best at the UAlbany Meet taking 23^rd in the 1,500 meter run in 6:41.56. She also took eighth at the Smith Coffey Invitational in the 400 meter dash in 1:17.42. She also added a time of 3:09.88 competing at the 2019 Capital District Championship in the 800 meter run for another personal best effort.

• French competed in every cross country event this past fall for the Gators and while running at the James Earley Invitational at Westfield State University, recorded a time of 25:53.7 for her best performance in a 5 k race. While racing at the 2019 Empire 8 championship, she finished in 73^rd place in 34:31.6.

Academics at Sage:

•             She is majoring in nursing at Sage.

High School:

•             A graduate of Berlin High School, Giannah French excelled in swimming.

•             A team captain and MVP in swimming, she was also a National Honor Society Student.

•             She is the daughter of Donald and Laura French.
