Alexandra (Lex) Lettre

At Sage: 

• Alexandra Lettre arrived on the Sage campus in 2018 and was on the program’s first field hockey team.
• "Lex" started 14 of her 15 games played, and had a game-winning goal in a 3-2 OT win at Drew decided by penalty strokes.
• She was tied for the Gators team lead with three defensive saves, and also added an assist.
• As a newcomer with the 2019 women’s lacrosse team, she played in all 15 games and made 14 starts.
• Lettre was named to the Empire 8 Second Team on defense and finished her first season with the Gators having added a team-best 66 ground ball pickups with 42 caused turnovers.
• As a sophomore on Sage’s field hockey team, Lettre helped the Gators post an impressive eight wins and capped the year with a selection to the 2019 Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad.
• She was a starter in 17 of 19 matches played and added a team-best 11 defensive saves as the Gators posted an 8-11 mark along the way.
• As a member of the 2020 women’s lacrosse team, Lettre started all 3 games and added 5 caused turnovers with 8 ground balls. On her career, she has picked up 74 ground balls and is currently seventh. Lettre also has 47 career caused turnovers and ranks fourth, while her 2.61 caused turnovers per game average is first at Sage in the career records.

Academics at Sage:

• She is majoring in applied biology at Sage.
• She is a two-sport student-athlete at Sage and also participated at the Empire 8 Student-Athlete Retreat this past February.
• Lettre is a Sage Scholar-Athlete as well and was named to the 2019 Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad.

High School:

• Lettre excelled in field hockey and lacrosse at Kingston High School.
• A team captain, she earned all-star honors in 2016 and 2017 and was a Section 9 All-Star twice.
• In field hockey, she was part of a dynasty that has won 12 straight Section 9 Championships and helped the program to the MHAL league crown.
