  • Regan Grube named new RSC Cross Country and Track and Field Head Coach

    Albany, NY — Russell Sage College’s Director of Athletics Sandy Augstein-Collins has announced that Regan Grube will be the new head women’s and men’s cross country and track and field coach. No stranger to the teams, Grube has spent the last three years working with the Gator running programs, having served as a graduate assistant coach.

    NEW ORLEANS – All Region honors for the 2022 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field season were announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) following the conclusion of the regular season. Sage’s junior John Coddington was recognized for his accomplishments in the shot put.

    Albany, NY—Russell Sage College’s department of athletics announced their award winners for the 2021-2022 academic year at the annual awards banquet.  In addition to several honors bestowed for athletic and academic excellence, Sage also selected the Gator of the Year Award for the department’s 21 varsity sports for the 2021-2022 year. RSC’s junior track and field captain John Coddington was honored as the Male Athlete of the Year in an individual sport and also honored as the men’s outdoor track and field Gator of the Year.

    Albany, NY – Russell Sage College’s men’s outdoor track and field team has qualified two student-athletes for the 2022 All-Atlantic Track and Field Conference Championships at Moravian University (Bethlehem, PA) on May 18-19. Junior captain John Coddington and senior Tyler Mitchell have qualified for the meet and will compete on May 19 with hopes of advancing to the NCAA Division III Championship at month’s end.

    RSC’s junior John Coddington became the program’s first Empire 8 Champion on Friday. Coddington won the hammer throw with a toss of 45.93 meters, scoring ten points along the way for the team.
