Ellis Richardson

At Sage:

• As a sophomore, Ellis Richardson set the school record now in the 800 meter run, which he first set as a rookie in 2018.
• He broke it three times during the 2019 season and holds the mark with his current time of 2:04.74, which he posted while competing at the UAlbany Invitational. In the 400 meter run, he holds the record with a time of 51.43. He was the anchor on the 4 x 100 relay team which posted the record time at the UAlbany Invitational in 45.00 this spring and was the lead off runner on the school’s 4 x 400 relay team (3:36.82), also set at the UAlbany Invitational. The Gators just missed the 4 x 100 mark while competing at this year’s Empire 8 Spring Outdoor Championships after taking sixth in the race in 45.51.
• For the second straight year, Richardson was honored as the Gator of the Year in men’s track and field having captured the honor in both 2018 and 2019.
• Among his other personal best times is performance of 12.14 in the 100 meter dash at the Wagner Invitational in 2018 as he took 21^st. His best time in the 200 meter run was in 2019 at the SUNY-Delhi Bronco Invitational as he took 8^th in 24.04. He also had his pr in the 400 at the same meet in 51.43 as he finished third.
