Indianapolis, IN – Russell Sage College’s men’s lacrosse team wrapped a successful season under the direction of head coach Ryan Lanigan. Along the way, RSC has some significant accomplishments. By year’s end the Gators were among the national Top 100 ranked program as a team and had individuals also featured in the rankings.
Hilton, NY – Russell Sage College’s men’s lacrosse team had three players honored on Monday with the announcement of the 2023 Empire 8 Men’s Lacrosse All-Conference Teams.
Hilton, NY – Russell Sage College’s men’s lacrosse rookie goalie Andrew Collora earned Empire 8 goalie of the week status on May 1. The recognition is the second citation for the Gator keeper.
Albany, NY – Russell Sage College’s men’s lacrosse team hosted Keuka College on Saturday afternoon in conjunction with Senior Day. The Gators delivered a 15-11 victory over the Wolves to wrap the season on a high note. For the year, RSC went 6-11 overall and 2-5 in the Empire 8.
Albany, NY – Russell Sage College’s men’s lacrosse team hosted the Cardinals of St. John Fisher University on Saturday afternoon for an Empire 8 match-up.
Buffalo, NY – Russell Sage College’s men’s lacrosse team picked up a convincing 20-4 road win over Medaille University as senior midfielder Anthony Abreu scored seven goals and finished the day with eight points.
Utica, NY – Russell Sage College’s men’s lacrosse team made a road trip to Utica University for a mid-week Empire 8 contest. Rookie goalie Andrew Collora finished with 21 saves in the contest, a career best effort, but the Gators fell, 14-9.
Oneonta, NY – Russell Sage College’s men’s lacrosse team traveled to Hartwick College for their 2023 Empire 8 opener. Hartwick used a strong second half to pull away before the Gators scored goals in the fourth quarter but is was not enough as Hartwick triumphed, 17-10.
ALBANY, N.Y. – Russell Sage College freshman Andrew Collora (West Babylon, NY/West Babylon) was named the Empire 8 Conference Men's Lacrosse Goalie of the Week for the period ending Sunday, March 26.
ALBANY, N.Y. – Russell Sage College attacker Bailey Martin (Syracuse, NY/Onondaga Central), a graduate student, was selected the Empire 8 Conference Men's Lacrosse Co-Player of the Week for the period ending Sunday, March 19.
Farmingdale, NY – Russell Sage College’s men’s lacrosse team wrapped a busy week facing the Rams of Farmingdale State University on Sunday. The Rams took an early lead and snapped the Gators’ two-game win streak in the process as they triumphed, 22-5. FSU (6-1) collected the 22-5 win putting RSC at 3-6.
Patchogue, NY – Russell Sage College’s men’s lacrosse team was in action on Saturday afternoon facing the Golden Eagles of St. Joseph’s University-Long Island. RSC posted the 17-4 victory as graduate performer Bailey Martin broke the program’s single-game goal scoring record after collecting nine goals with a pair of assists for 11 points. The Gators tallied the 17-4 road win to extend their win streak.
Riverdale, NY – Russell Sage College’s men’s lacrosse team was in action on Wednesday night facing the College of Mt. St. Vincent in a non-conference game. The Gators cruised to a 17-8 win, handing the Dolphins their first loss of the season. RSC improves to 2-5, while CMSV is now 2-1.
Norfolk, VA – Russell Sage College’s men’s lacrosse team faced Gordon College on Tuesday afternoon in Virginia on their spring training trip. Graduate performer Bailey Martin became the first player in RSC men’s lacrosse history to record 100 career points.
Albany, NY – Russell Sage College’s men’s lacrosse team hosted Plattsburgh State on Friday afternoon at Albany College of Pharmacy’s Athletic Stadium in the team’s 2023 home opener. Down 6-4 at the half, RSC had a strong second half, but was unable to get past the Cardinals, dropping a 10-9 decision.
