Tyler Schnaible

At Sage:

  • A newcomer to Sage in 2016-2017, Tyler Schnaible is one of the most male student-athletes as he was a member of the golf, tennis and men’s volleyball programs at Sage for two years.
  • As a sophomore, he was named to the Empire 8 Sportsmanship Team in both men’s golf and men’s volleyball on the 2017-2018 year.
  • As a member of the 2018 volleyball squad, he played in 22 matches with 57 kills, 22 digs and 81.5 points.
  • He added 26 total blocks in 2018 with an impressive 21 block assists.
  • As a rookie on the volleyball court in 2017, he started 16 of 30 matches he played in with 133.0 points. He was fourth on the squad in points and added 45 total blocks with 43 digs and 93 kills. He added 10 aces and had a .345 attack percentage for the season.
  • He was chosen to attend the 2017 NCAA Leadership Forum in Washington, D.C.
  • He also served as team captain of the 2017 Sage Men’s Golf Team and reprised his role as team captain once again in 2018.
  • As a member of Sage’s men’s tennis team in 2019, he led the Gators and capped his year as the Gator of the Year honoree after a record-setting season.
  • Along the way in 2019, he went 5-5 at No. 2 singles and set the program’s mark for most singles wins in a season, while also boasting the career singles wins mark as well with his 8 wins and is now 8-10 at Sage.
  • He is also very involved on campus as a SAAC member and the Chomper’s Reading program.
  • Schnaible closed the 2019 spring earning a spot to attend the NCAA Career in Sports Forum at the NCAA Headquarters in Indianapolis.
  • As a member of the men’s golf team in the fall of 2019, he continued to hone his skill on the golf course after opening the year with a score of 92 at SUNY-Cobleskill. He posted a 30th place finish as the two-day Oswego Invitational after shooting 163 on rounds of 81 and 82. The 81 was his lowest score of the fall.
  • The 2019 Empire 8 Fall Championship saw him take 21st place after carding a 171 on rounds of 89 and 82.

Academics at Sage:

  • He is majoring in physical education at Sage.
  • He is a Dean’s List Student and also inducted into Sage’s Athletic Honor Society in 2019 and honored as a member of the Empire 8 Presidents’ List several times during his career.

High School:

  • A graduate of Shenendehowa High School, Schnaible was a team captain of the volleyball team in 2015 and helped the squad to the 2015 Section 2 Class A Championships.
  • 2015 volleyball team also won the regional championship and was a NY State final four team as a senior.

Personal:

  • A dual citizen in the U.S. and Germany, Schnaible plans on pursuing a career as a physical therapist.
  • He is the son of Kenneth and Kerstin Schnaible.
