E8 to Expand Tournament Fields for 2022-2023August 23, 2022Hilton, NY--This year, Empire 8 will expand its postseason tournaments for men's and women's basketball, field hockey, men's and women's soccer and women's volleyball to six teams and softball to five teams as voted on by the league's Athletic Directors and approved by the Empire 8 President's Council. This year's limited expansion is the second non-emergent growth in the conference's 24-year history as a multi-sport conference.
