SAGE VOLLEYBALL CAMP

Objectives

The Sage Volleyball Camp will offer the opportunity to learn and practice the fundamental skills, techniques, and strategies necessary for the game of volleyball.  Camp staff will instruct campers in the latest techniques as well as offensive and defensive systems and strategies.  There will also be time devoted to scrimmages and game situations. 

Eligibility

Girls in grades 6 - 12 are eligible for the camp.  2018 high school graduates are also eligible.  Camp enrollment limited to the first 48 registrants. 

Camp Staff

Camp Director, Sandy Augstein-Collins, brings over 20 years of collegiate head coaching experience to the camp. In 2014, she led the Gators to the Skyline Conference Championship and an NCAA Tournament appearance. Chosen by her peers as Coach of the Year during the 2008 and 2012 campaigns, she was also selected as the AVCA NY Region Coach of the Year in 2008.  Prior to coming to Sage, she was the Head Coach at Union College and at Randolph Macon Woman’s College.  Augstein-Collins also coached for 10 years at Bethlehem High School.

Our highly qualified staff consists of high school and college coaches and collegiate  players.  A certified athletic trainer will be on staff during all sessions.

Two courts at the Kahl Campus Center Gym, 44 Academy, Albany, NY 12208 (GPS directions).

Cost

The cost for the camp is $225.00 per person. Each participant will receive lunch daily as well as a camp t-shirt.

Schedule

The camp will run Monday - Friday, July 16—20 from 9 A.M. to 3 P.M.  Registration and drop off will begin 30 minutes prior to the start of the camp.
