
VICTOR, N.Y. – Russell Sage College junior Elizabeth Ingellis (Kingston, NY/Kingston) lowered her program 6k record by more than 15 seconds at today's Empire 8 Conference Championships, hosted by Nazareth University. She finished sixth out of 82 competitors with a time of 22:14.2.
Senior Mackenzie Feeney (Saugerties, NY/Saugerties) covered the Parkview Fairways course in 23:09.4, good for 14th.
With the finishes, Ingellis earned first-team All-Conference honors, while Feeney garnered second-team All-E8 status. Ingellis has now earned All-Conference accolades in each of her three seasons.
Sophomore Charisma Losee (Troy, NY/Lansingburgh) crossed the line 50th with a time of 26:13.2, while sophomore Hannah Maxson (Johnstown, NY/Johnstown) was 66th with a 28:43.2 clocking.
Rounding out the Gators runners were: senior Skylar Grybos (Amsterdam, NY/Amsterdam)(73rd - 31:33.9) and junior Merideth Diegel (Albany, NY/Colonie) (79th - 38:15.0).
RSC finished fifth out of seven competing schools with a score of 149. The host Golden Flyers won the team title.
Sophomore Chris Pellegrini (Loudonville, NY/Colonie Central) led RSC in the men's 8k, taking 57th out of 73 runners with a fall-best time of 31:12.0.
Sophomore Robert Cusato (Schenectady, NY/Guilderland) crossed the line 60th with a time of 32:29.4,
Junior Isaac Langer (Hudson, NY/Taconic Hills), was 65th with a 34:46.2 clocking, while junior Jacob Haynes (Cambridge, NY/Cambridge Central) finished in 37:23.7, good for 68th.
The Houghton Highlanders were the men's team champions.
RSC will compete at the NCAA MidEast Regional on Saturday, November 11 at Westfield State.
