RSC Women's Cross Country Runners honored by Empire 8

Hilton, N.Y. –  Russell Sage College's women's cross country team had two runners saluted as all-league performer with the announcement of the 2022 Empire 8 Women's Cross Country All-Conference Teams. First year head coach Regan Grube led the women's team to a sixth place showing in the championship.

RSC's sophomore Elizabeth Ingellis (Kingston, NY/Kingston) finished in the Top Ten as she placed seventh in 23:50.7.   Junior Mackenzie Feeney (Saugerties, NY/Saugerties) posted a time of 24:17.5 and took home 12th place.  For Ingellis, who earned two Runner of the Week citations this fall, she earned Empire 8 First Team honors for her effort after she was a third team honoree in 2021. Feeney picked up her third straight Empire 8 All-Conference citation with her time at the E8 championship in 2022.

One member of each team was named that institution's representative on the 2022 Women's Cross Country Sportswoman of the Year Team. The Empire 8 Conference emphasizes that "Competing with Honor and Integrity" is an essential component of a student-athlete's experience in conjunction with an institution's educational mission. These honorees have distinguished themselves and consistently exhibit the critical traits as outstanding sportswomen.

Feeney was selected to the Sportswoman Team for her leadership in 2022 for the Gators.
