Gator women finish 23rd at NCAA Regional Championships

Waterford, CT— Russell Sage College's women's cross country team travelled to Connecticut on Saturday to compete in the NCAA Division III Mid-East Regional Championships hosted by Connecticut College at Harkness Memorial State Park. The Gators posted a 23rd place showing in the very competitive event.

The women's individual champion came from Williams College as Genna Girard won the 6,000 meter race with her time of 21:36.0.

For the Gators, sophomore Mackenzie Feeney (Saugerties, NY/Saugerties) was the top finisher on Saturday for the Gators as she was 89th with her time of 24:56.0. Sophomore Emma Cronin (Greenwich, NY/Greenwich Central) was next in 91st place in 24:57.3.

Newcomer Elizabeth Ingellis (Kingston, NY/Kingston) finished in 120th place in 25:55.8. Junior Evelyn Gile (Ballston Lake, NY/Shenendehowa) finished in 156th in 29:08.8. Senior Kristin McAlonen (Burnt Hills, NY/Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) was 157th with a time of 29:57.6 in her final cross country race of her career.
