Hilton, NY— The Empire 8 Conference has announced the 2021 Women's Cross Country All-Conference Team. The first, second, and third team selections were determined at the league's championship meet on October 30. The top-seven finishers earn first team honors, while finishers 8-14 garner second team accolades and finishers 15-21 were third team picks. Russell Sage College served as the host institution for the 2021 Empire 8 Cross Country Championships at Washington County Fairgrounds.
For the Gators, sophomore Mackenzie Feeney (Saugerties, NY/Saugerties) finished in ninth with her time of 23:28.9 for the 6,000 meter distance. Sophomore Emma Cronin (Greenwich, NY/Greenwich Central) was next in 10th place in 23:35.0. Both earned Empire 8 Second Team All-Star status for their finishes after earning first team honors at the 2021 Empire 8 Spring Cross Country Championship.
Newcomer Elizabeth Ingellis (Kingston, NY/Kingston) finished in 20th place in 24:27.6 and was named to the Empire 8 Third Team All-Star squad.
The Gators will be back in action on November 13 competing at the 2021 Atlantic Regional Championships hosted by Connecticut College at Harkness Memorial Park.
