RSC Women's Harriers take 3rd at Hamilton Invitational

Clinton, NY— Russell Sage College's women's cross country team travelled to Hamilton College on Saturday to race in the Hamilton Invitational. The women's race was won by the hosts with a score of 30 in field of seven teams for the 4k course. RSC's women's team picked up a third place with a score of 98.

Sophomore Emma Cronin (Greenwich, NY/Greenwich Central) was the top finisher on Saturday for the Gators as she was seventh with her time of 15:56.5.

Sophomore Mackenzie Feeney (Saugerties, NY/Saugerties) was next in 12th place in 16:23.6.

Newcomers Elizabeth Ingellis (Kingston, NY/Kingston) and Crystal Ivery (Cairo, NY/Cairo-Durham) were next in 14th and 32nd place, respectively. Ingellis had a time of 16:29.2, while Ivery had a time of 18:41.9.  

Junior Evelyn Gile (Ballston Lake, NY/Shenendehowa) finished in 33rd in 18:42.9. Sophomore Skylar Grybos (Amsterdam, NY/Amsterdam) picked up 34th place in 18:52.5, while senior Kristin McAlonen (Burnt Hills, NY/Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) was 36th in 19:14.5.  Senior Katherine Florian (Bronx, NY/Academy of Mount Saint Ursula) was 70th in 24:21.8 and sophomore Heather Scutt (Ancramdale, NY/Taconic Hills) finished in 72nd place in 29:06.8.

The Gators will be back in action on October 30 hosting the 2021 Empire 8 Championship at Washington County Fairgrounds in Greenwich, NY. The men's race will commence at 11 a.m. and the women's race will follow at noon.
