RSC Women's Cross Country Team Captures Title at MSMC Knights Invitational

Newburgh, NY— Russell Sage College's women's cross country team won the Mt. St. Mary College Knight Invitational on Saturday as the Gators finished in first place in a field of nine teams.

Sophomore Mackenzie Feeney (Saugerties, NY/Saugerties) was the top finisher for the Gators on the 6k distance as she was third in 26:13.4.  Sophomore Emma Cronin (Greenwich, NY/Greenwich Central) posted a time of 26:16.4 to finish right behind her in fourth place.   Newcomers Elizabeth Ingellis (Kingston, NY/Kingston) had a time of 27:36.5 and was fifth and Crystal Ivery (Cairo, NY/Cairo-Durham) was 14th in 29:18.6.

Junior Evelyn Gile (Ballston Lake, NY/Shenendehowa) finished in 16th in 29:26.6.  Rookie Morgan Rossignol (Lexington, NY/Hunter Tannersville) was 49thth in 39:46.8 and senior Katherine Florian (Bronx, NY/Academy of Mount Saint Ursula) was 52nd in 40:55.2. Sophomore Heather Scutt (Ancramdale, NY/Taconic Hills) finished in 57th place in 49:50.6.

The Gators will be back in action on October 23 competing at the Hamilton College Invitational.
