RSC Runners post strong finish at RPI Race

Saratoga Springs, NY— Russell Sage College's women's cross country team competed on Saturday at RPI's Saratoga Invitational at Saratoga State Park.  RSC's women's team finished in sixth place.

Sophomore Emma Cronin (Greenwich, NY/Greenwich Central) posted a time of 25:01.6 to take 12th place for the 6 k course.  Sophomore Mackenzie Feeney (Saugerties, NY/Saugerties) was next in 21st place in 25:42.7, while newcomer Elizabeth Ingellis (Kingston, NY/Kingston) had a time of 26:23.6 to take 31st place.

Junior Evelyn Gile (Ballston Lake, NY/Shenendehowa) finished in 57th in 29:24.6, while senior Kristin McAlonen (Burnt Hills, NY/Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) had a time of 29:54.8and was 63rd.

Rookie Morgan Rossignol (Lexington, NY/Hunter Tannersville) was 68th in 40:47.9 and senior Katherine Florian (Bronx, NY/Academy of Mount Saint Ursula) was 69th in 41:47.9. Sophomore Heather Scutt (Ancramdale, NY/Taconic Hills) finished in 70th place in 50:19.5.

RPI won the women's team crown with 31 points, edging Ithaca College (52 points). The Gators finished in sixth place out of seven teams with a score of 148.
