RSC Women's harriers take home 7th at Vassar

Poughkeepsie, NY— Russell Sage College's women's cross country team competed on Saturday at Vassar College in the Ron Stonitch Invitational. RSC's women's team finished in seventh place, while RPI's women's won the team title with a score of39. RSC scored in seventh place out of nine teams with 157 points.

Sophomore Emma Cronin (Greenwich, NY/Greenwich Central) was the first Gator to cross the finish line in the 5 k course as she took 10th in 20:04.4. Sophomore Mackenzie Feeney (Saugerties, NY/Saugerties) was next in 25th in 20:53.5, while newcomer Elizabeth Ingellis (Kingston,NY/Kingston) was 29th in 20:59.0.  Junior Evelyn Gile (Ballston Lake, NY/Shenendehowa) picked up 45th place in 23:40.6 just ahead of senior Kristin McAlonen (Burnt Hills, NY/Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) who was 48th in 24:27.8. 

Senior Mariah Van Avery (Scotia, NY/Fonda Fultonville) picked up 57th in 26:33.6 while newcomer Crystal Ivery (Cairo, NY/Cairo-Durham) picked up 58th in 26:47.4.

Next week the Gators travel to Oneonta State to run in the Airfield Invitational on September 18.
