Sage wraps 2017 season at 2017 NCAA Regionals

Houghton, NY – The Sage Colleges' women's cross country team travelled to the 2017 NCAA Division III Regionals at Houghton College on Saturday in the final meet of the 2017 season. Sage's Women's Team picked up a 30th place finish in a field of 41 complete team.

SUNY-Geneseo won the women's team crown with an impressive score of 41 points, while Ithaca's junior Taryn Cordani won the individual crown with her impressive time of 21.24.3 for the 6 k course.

For the Gators, which combined for a team score of 1,023 was led by the efforts of rookie Sevi Travis (Cohoes, NY/Shaker) as she posted a time of 25:59.9 and took 185th place.

Junior Sagan Leggett (Valatie, NY/Ichabod Crane) was next for Sage with her time of 26:02.3 and finished in 187 points. Sophomore Amanda Jones (West Sand Lake, NY/Columbia) added a time of 26:13.7 and took 191st place.

Rookie Olivia Leonard (Waterford, NY/Waterford-Halfmoon) was the next finisher for Sage in 203rd place in 26:44.4, while newcomer Sophia Keravich (Barrington, NH/Oyster River) added a 257th place finish in 30:417.4. Rookie Heather Dilcher (Colonie, NY/Colonie Central) was right behind her in 258th in 30:17.5.
