Leggett leads Sage as they finish in third at GMC Invitational

Poultney, VT – Sage's women's cross country squad travelled to the Green Mountain College Invitational on Saturday. Sage's women's team finished in third place at the race. Sage's women's team posted a score of 61 points and finished in third place while Albany College of Pharmacy won the meet with a team score of 43 in the field of five teams.

Leading the Gator harriers on Saturday was junior Sagan Leggett (Valatie, NY/Ichabod Crane) as she had a strong finish, taking sixth place in 20:56. Freshman Sevi Travis (Cohoes, NY/Shaker) picked up eighth place in 20:59, just ahead of sophomore Amanda Jones (West Sand Lake, NY/Columbia) who took ninth in 21:01.

Rookie Olivia Leonard (Waterford, NY/Waterford-Halfmoon) was the next finisher for Sage in 13th place in 21:50, while freshman Sophia Keravich (Barrington, NH/Oyster River) added a 25th place finish in 23:56.

Next up for the team is competition on October 28 when the Gators head to their first Empire 8 Championship.
