Travis leads Sage women runners at James Earley Invitational

Westfield, MA – The Sage Colleges' women's cross country program travelled to Stanley Park to compete at the 22nd Annual James Earley Cross Country Invitational hosted by Westfield State University. Sage's women's team posted a strong eighth place showing in the women's White Race in a field of 13 teams. Westfield State won the race with their score of 52, while Sage combined for a 198 on the day.  

The top finisher for the Gator women was freshman Sevi Travis (Cohoes, NY/Shaker) as she finished the 5 K course in 21:28.26 to take 23rd place. Junior Sagan Leggett (Valatie, NY/Ichabod Crane) posted a time 21:32.17 to take 26th place. Sophomore Amanda Jones (West Sand Lake, NY/Columbia) was next in 31st place in 21:41.46, while rookie Olivia Leonard (Waterford, NY/Waterford-Halfmoon) was the next finisher for Sage in 45th in 22:12.25. Rookies Sophia Keravich (Barrington, NH/Oyster River) and Heather Dilcher (Colonie, NY/Colonie Central) rounded out the Sage runners with times of 235:04.65 to take 73rd and in 25:24.16 in 76th, respectively.

Next up for the team is competition on October 14 at the Green Mountain College Invitational in Poultney, Vermont.
